Your Child Will Learn

Create art prints using vegetables and fruits

Here’s What to Do

  1. Cut different vegetables and fruits in halves and quarters (potatoes, apples, carrots, lemons, grapes, corn, and broccoli)
  2. Pour 3-4 paint colors onto small plates or a large tray
  3. Make sure the paint is thin and not too thick
  4. Show your child how to dip the vegetables and fruits into the paints, then print them onto paper

  • Ask your child to describe the size, shape, and texture of the prints
  • Ask your child what picture they could create with the prints
