Your Child Will Learn

Creative stimulation for sight and touch sensory experience

Here’s What to Do

  1. Fill 3-4 small plastic bottles with water
  2. Add a few drops of food coloring, dish soap, and glitter to each bottle
  3. Make sure the tops of the bottles are tightly secured by wrapping a few layers of durable tape around it 
  4. Shake and roll the bottles in front of your baby

Put PEER Into Action

PAUSE

  • Smile, hug your baby, and do this activity on the floor

ENGAGE

  • Repeat the colors of each bottle to your baby
  • Mimic how your baby interacts with the bottles 

ENCOURAGE

  • Hold the bottles close and far away from your baby
  • Shake the bottles close to your baby’s ear so they can hear the sound of the water

REFLECT

  • Was your baby able to interact and respond during this activity?

Not Quite Ready

Hold your baby in your lap while holding and shaking the bottles in front of them 

Ready for More

Add more bottles until you have one of each color (red, yellow, orange, blue, green, purple)

They will independently grasp, move, and shake objects with their hands
