Your Child Will Learn

The shape of our hands can be used to make creative art

Here’s What to Do

  1. Use a pencil to trace your child’s hands on paper 
  2. Ask your child what shapes and figures can they create with their hands
  3. Give them coloring materials like crayons, markers, colored pencils, and paint

  • Smile at your child and give them a high-five 

ENGAGE

  • Ask your child “what shapes and figures can we make with the shape of your hands”?
  • Ask your child, what lines, shapes, and colors will you use in your drawing”? 

ENCOURAGE

  • Ask your child, “what could you draw around your hands”? 
  • Compliment and praise your child’s drawing

REFLECT

  • Ask your child, “what other things could we create with the shape of your hand”?
