Here’s What to Do
- Discuss the four seasons according to the regional climate you live in
- Ask your child to describe the colors of the sky and land during each season
- Give your child 4 sheets of paper to create a drawing for each season
- Have your child use coloring materials to represent the colors of each season

- Find a quiet and distraction free environment to do this activity
ENGAGE
- Ask your child, “how does it feel outside during [season]”?
- Ask your child, “what living things do you see during [season]”?
ENCOURAGE
- If your child struggles with what to draw to represent the seasons, ask them to think about the colors of the leaves on trees and remind them of activities that you do during each season
- Compliment and praise your child’s work
REFLECT
- Ask your child to explain how each picture of the seasons is different
