Here’s What to Do
- Give your child 5-6 strips of colored paper
- Demonstrate tearing the strips into smaller pieces
- Give your child paper and glue to create a collage with the torn pieces

- Tear a strip of colored paper in front of your child to get their attention
ENGAGE
- Explain to your child that a collage is a picture made from smaller pieces of paper
- Ask your child, “what can you make with these torn pieces of paper”?

- Ask your child, “should the pieces of paper be close together or far apart”?

- Ask your child to describe the picture they made with the torn pieces of paper
