Here’s What to Do

  1. Lay your baby on their back and hold a baking pan in front of their feet for them to kick

Put PEER Into Action

PAUSE

  • Smile, hug your baby, and lay them down on a soft and comfortable surface

ENGAGE

  • As your baby kicks the pan, recite a rhyme or sing a song 
  • Count each time your baby kicks the pan  

ENCOURAGE

  • Move the baking pan from side to side and wait for you baby to adjust their legs for kicking
  • Play peek-a-book with the pan

REFLECT

  • Was your baby able to interact and respond during this activity?
