Here’s What to Do
- Collect recycled cardboard
- Flatten the cardboard and tape a few pieces side-by-side to construct a long surface
- Give your child paint to create a city on the cardboard

- Search for and flatten the cardboard together with your child for this activity

- Ask your child, “what places can you paint for your city”?
- Ask your child, “can you paint a special place for me in your city”?
ENCOURAGE
- Ask your child to give names to the places in their city
- Compliment and praise your child’s use of color, line, and shape

- Ask your child to explain who or what would like to live in their city
