Create an animal figure with a paper roll
Here’s What to Do
- Use the inner roll from from a roll of paper towels or toilet paper
- Have your child paint their favorite animal on the paper roll
- Use color paper to cut out other parts for the animal
- Help your child glue the paper parts on the paper roll after the paint dries

- Work on a flat surface, free from distractions
ENGAGE
- Ask your child to describe the body of their animal
- Ask your child to describe the colors, shapes, and forms they will paint on the paper roll
ENCOURAGE
- Hold the paper parts in place as your child glues them to the paper roll
- Compliment and praise your child’s artistic choices
REFLECT
- Ask your child to explain the colors, shapes, and forms they choose to represent their animal
