Your Child Will Learn

Family histories are remembered by looking at heirlooms and special objects passed down from generation to generation

Here’s What to Do

  1. Select a family heirloom or special object that was passed down to you from an older family member. Show it to your children
  2. Demonstrate safe and soft touch so your children handle the object with care
  3. Ask your children to describe what they see, discuss its purpose, and then explain the memory and history of the object
